How do I transition my pet?
Please see our “Transitioning to Raw” page
https://www.roccityraw.com/transitioning-to-raw
Can I feed partially raw or use your food as meal toppers?
Yes, absolutely! Some raw food is better than none. Any of our grinds can be added to your pet’s existing diet. Our Base Grinds, Bone Broth, Organ Mash, and Salmon make wonderful additions to a commercial kibble. Your pet will thank you!
Can I cook the food?
We know there are many benefits to feeding raw, although not all pets do well on raw diets. Some pets require their food to be lightly cooked for ease of digestion. You can lightly cook any of our complete & balanced meals, or base grinds. Do not overcook. NEVER FEED COOKED WHOLE BONES, this can cause splintering which can harm your pet.
Where do you source your proteins from?
We support our local farmers! We source all proteins from local USDA certified suppliers. All ingredients are fresh, human grade, and made in the USA.
Are the supplements used made in the USA?
Yes. The very small amount of supplements used in our complete & balanced meals are made in the USA and are human grade.
Why do you use supplements in the complete & balanced meals?
We understand that it is best to get all nutrients from whole food sources, and our complete & balanced blends come very close. Although in order to meet AAFCO and NRC requirements, small amounts of human grade supplements are used to fill any nutritional gaps.
Do you follow AAFCO and NRC Guidelines?
Yes, but only for the Complete & Balanced canine and feline meals. Our 80/10/10 Base Grinds do not meet every AAFCO & NRC requirement. If feeding a base grind, we suggest adding a variety of additional nutrients to fill in any gaps. If you need guidance on how to do this for your pet, we are happy to help.
Do you sell by the pound?
Yes, canine products are sold in 1lb and 2 lb increments. Feline and specialty grinds are sold in 1 lb increments. Please read the description of the product if you are unsure of the package quantity.
How is the product packaged?
1 pound: plastic flip top containers.
2 pound: plastic flip top containers.
The products are stored frozen. Packaging may vary due to supply issues.
Do you offer shipping?
At this time we do not have the appropriate shipping materials to ship frozen products, but it is something we may be able to do in the future. Our focus is primarily on local customers at this time. Not local? We do meet ups if there are enough customers who want to coordinate.
Do you offer bulk discounts?
We are no longer able to provide bulk discounts as the prices of meat continue to rise. We strive to keep our prices as affordable as possible so that more pet owners are able to feed a biologically appropriate diet. We think you’ll find our prices come in lower than competitors offering human grade pet food.
Do you offer consultations?
We provide free guidance to new and existing customers. If you need extensive guidance with meal planning or certain goals, please contact us for a full consultation. We are happy to help!
Do you offer returns?
We are unable to accept returns of any product, although if you have an issue or concern, please reach out!
